Joe Bosworth, CEO
When he has not been developing and building robots, Joe has been a business systems
analyst and database and data warehouse design architect and software engineer in banking,
insurance, local and state government, nuclear power, solar energy, defense logistics, health care,
energy distribution and plastics. He was the founder of RB Robot Corporation; a publicly traded company
in the 1980's. He was a co-founder and Chairman of the National Personal Robot Association (NPRA).
He also chaired the first International Personal Robot Congress (IPRC) in April, 1984 in
Albuquerque, NM. Joe is the founder and CEO of Smart Robots, Inc.

Bob Jones, Design Engineer and Master Toolmaker
Bob Jones brings to Smart Robots a depth of experience in tool making, product design, CAD
software (Pro Engineer), mold making, machining and prototype building that is rarely found
all in one individual. As the lead engineer on the VisionArm™ project, albeit with efforts
from other team members in project management, electronics, software and support engineering,
he took the arm from its initial drawings and created in aluminum, steel, brass, gears, motors,
etc., the first working prototype of the long-reach light-weight VisionArm™.

Joe Monti, Software Engineer
Joe Monti has been an active member of the FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) community
for 8 years, contributing to several projects at various levels of involvement ranging from
project manager to bug wrangler. Joe is also the co-president and a founding member of the
Berkshire Linux Users Group. To say he is a Linux whiz is an understatement. He spends most
of his time programming in Java and python, but is familiar with about dozen other languages.
Joe has a passion for self learning and attacks problems with intellectual strength and vigor.

Jeff Bachiochi, Electronics Engineer
Jeff Bachiochi (pronounced BAH-key-AH-key) has been writing "from the bench" a
hardware/software design column for Circuit Cellar Magazine since 1988. His
background includes product design and manufacturing, beginning with Electronic
Music Labs (the first analog music synthesizer company) in the 60's. As a design
consultant, Jeff helps firms move their product ideas from visions to realities. He

Martin Hughes, Mechanical Engineer (Consulting)
Martin has over 35 years (but he doesn't show it!) of experience in mechanical and
hydromechanical engineering in the automotive, defense and process industries. He holds
a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bournemouth University in the UK. His
experience, which covers a wide range of disciplines ranging from design thru
engineering and analysis, enables him to provide a broad spectrum of support to the
VisionArm(TM) and other Smart Robots programs.

Don LeClaire, Software Engineer [can you tell which one in the photo is Don?]
Don is a seasoned software engineer with 23 years of design and development experience.
His specialties are creating enterprise-wide Internet applications on Java/Linux platforms
and he works regularly in Java, PHP, JavaScript, ActionScript, HTML, VXML, CSS, MySQL,
PostgreSQL, Flash, AJAX, XML, and JSON. He has worked in web advertising and publishing, in
e-commerce applications, and in Internet community and home page building tools. In the
defense sector, Don developed tactical software for the Trident Submarine fleet and acoustic
simulation and analysis systems for Fast Attack submarines.
